Mob-Figgaz still retain their gritty street style laden with conscious lyrics. Kungwavha Ngwavha is a track that echoes the lingo and attitudes of the urban youth, mostly in the urban working class areas. The track is a call to keep on working hard as a man and to never give up. Because in the grand scheme of things, it is only money that can sustain you in this life. With the phrase Kungwavha Ngwavha being street lingo meaning to hustle hard, to look for a livelihood in earnest and even in some unorthodox, unconventional means. The aim is to have money and navigate the labyrinth that is urban life. The new slang for hustling.

We have to say the instrumentation on the song is superb. If not impeccable. The sound conveys a motivating mood while still reinforcing the little stories you create in your head regarding the hustle(s) you do. The drums and the heavy bass-line give some credence to the whole world of kungwavha ngwavha. The melodies, with a slight twist, still represent the Mob-Figgaz sound. And the way that Yung G spreads that paper chasing message is an attestation of an artist who internalizes street hustles. Any hustle for that matter.

Mob X is on the first verse and his raps prove how proficient he is when it comes to narrating the hustles he goes through. His contemporary message of working hard is laced beautifully within the overarching influence of urban life in a way that makes the listener curious to continue listening to the song. And how he speaks about the alertness one needs to possess when making deals in urban areas. Mob G solidifies the Don King flow in the second verse, speaking of his unavailability due to kungwavha ngwavha, and how he is deeply committed to the game. The metaphors, the similes are delivered excellently. The vernac flows are something of a mastery of perfection.

The track Kungwavha Ngwavha by Mob-Figgaz stirs a lot of interest considering the upcoming release of Don Kings 3. Mob-Figgaz are the guys behind RedNation Live, which won the award for Best Online Media at the 2019 Zim Hip Hop Awards. They are also the creators of Mob Entertainment (MobEnt).
