With
the local Premier Soccer League football out for over a year now due to the Covid-19
pandemic, two young players have taken this opportunity to venture into the
world of entrepreneurship by launching a clothing brand.
The
two players are Dynamos fullback Emmanuel Jalai and ex-Harare City defender
Colin Mujuru. Colin Mujuru was signed by Highlanders in March last year before
the initial lockdown which consequently led to the first shutdown of local football action.
Club
rivalries have been set aside in the name of business as the two have joined
hands to establish this new brand. The brand named JUST ME is already making the rounds on the local urban clothing landscape with its stock ranging from T-shirts, hoodies, crop hoodies as well as denim jackets. The
brand is also set to avail tracksuits imminently.
The
label is also available in vernacular as Inini Chete (Shona) and Mina Nje
(Ndebele). More on the brand’s catalogue as well as its pricing one can check
on the brands’ social media pages @jmklothing on Twitter and Instagram.
As
far as the on field action is concerned, ZIFA has applied for a waiver from the
SRC to resume domestic top flight action. With the view of starting the league
in March if permission is granted.
