King Avry (real name Ngonidzashe Avry Chilwa) is a multi-talented
singer, songwriter, TV & Radio personality (Heart & Soul Broadcasting Services),
choreographer and upcoming music producer from Harare, Zimbabwe. He is
currently unsigned.
His love for music was quite evident from his early primary school days where he was groomed by his music teacher the late Ms. Nyasha Bare, a guru in her own right in the music industry. She is the one who propelled his passion to fruition, setting him into theatre and musicals.
She also made a huge impact on his career by
introducing him to renowned ballet and contemporary dance teacher Debbie
Fleming who spotted the young man's amazing talent and had him perform in Broadway
Bits & Hits Zimbabwe, a musical that showcased all popular Hollywood
musical blockbusters on one stage.
Currently riding on the release of his debut EP Love
& Lyrics, the young musician is aiming for greater heights. King Avry has
released music videos for Kufara and Distance, available on his YouTube
channel. His keen focus on societal issues as well as matters of the heart puts
him in a special calibre of Zimbabwean urban artists.
His vision is to become an African mainstream artist
who exports the rich African talent via musical projections. He is keen to
learn more about the industry and give back to the community. And with the impeccable
discography he commands, there can be no doubt that King Avry will scale new heights.
The young musician has performed at prestigious events
such as the inaugural Miss Heritage World, Miss Global, Zimbabwe Afro &
Sleek Hair Show & the prestigious Miss Zimbabwe Diaspora (South Africa)
event where he was the youngest and also the only independent headlining act.
