Khura Agency Presser
Khura Agency has launched the Khura Kasts Arts Masterclass podcast under the Scripts and Bars project. The podcast is set to become a resource for artists and creatives to get expert advice on the business of the arts from renowned Zimbabwean experts in their respective fields.
“We wanted artists to have access to experts like never before. Podcasting is gaining momentum in the country and we thought this would be the best way to package this resource,” said Simukai Whande of Khura Agency.
Khura Agency believes in the ubiquitous power of the internet to create evergreen, eternal resources that anyone across the globe can have access to. Khura Kasts podcast ensures that an artist can listen to an episode and learn valuable insights about the arts industry from the veterans and active players.
The podcast is set to become a resource for artists and creatives. The first season of Khura Kasts intends to tackle the common issues that the current generation of Zimbabwean artists are experiencing.
From monetising, collaborating, publishing, royalties, taking their art across borders and navigating the internet as influencers. The future of the podcast will see it evolve into including regional guests and Khura Kasts evolving into a platform that will create new audio content that challenges the creativity of local artists.
Mentorship is required for the grooming and growth of the next generation of artists in Zimbabwe. The Khura Kasts Masterclasses are a virtual mentorship for upcoming artists. Artists can take this knowledge and add on their own expertise and new technologies and improve upon what is already existing.
The podcast is now available online on the Khura Kasts website kasts.khuraagency.com; it was made available on all podcasting platforms on the 10th of August 2022.
