HARARE – The Zimbabwe School Examinations Council (ZIMSEC) has unveiled the June 2024 Ordinary and Advanced Level examination results, revealing notable shifts in pass rates.
In a media briefing held in Harare on Tuesday, ZIMSEC Board Chair Professor Paul Mapfumo announced a remarkable improvement in the Ordinary Level results.
The pass rate surged to 4.44%, a significant leap from the meager 0.46% recorded in June of the previous year.
However, the Advanced Level results were of a different outlook.
The pass rate plummeted to 31.67%, a dramatic drop from the 75.89% achieved in June 2023. This mirrors a 44.22% decrease in the overall pass rate.
Candidates can now access their results online via the ZIMSEC website at www.zimsec.co.zw.
Meanwhile, heads of schools can begin collecting physical copies of the results from ZIMSEC regional offices starting Wednesday.
