TAKUDZWA HILLARY CHIWANZA
HARARE – As much as he is touring the world, Nitefreak – with all his global renown – always makes it a point to plough back home. And this is through the music event HiNDE, a platform that showcases Zimbabwe's best talent in the Afro House and Afro Tech scene. This time around, HiNDE is making its Harare debut, and there is every reason in the world to be excited.
HiNDE, founded by Nitefreak in 2021, is an Afro House music event dedicated to celebrating the beauty of dance music in Zimbabwe, giving some of the country's unparalleled DJs and producers a much-needed opportunity to exhibit their immense talent. Now in its fourth edition, the event is making its debut in Harare – at Queen of Hearts – having been confined to Bulawayo in the past editions. This will be part of a doubleheader weekend where the event will be held in Harare on the 9th of November (Saturday) and in Bulawayo on the 10th (Sunday).
The event will mark its Harare debut at Queen of Hearts, with an exciting lineup, led by Nitefreak, that is set to enthrall audiences with invigorating and breathtaking electronic sounds. The Harare lineup will feature Nitefreak, Ryan Synth, Samuel Cosmic, Bam Bam Madame, and Jay. Hinde Bulawayo, to be held at Mystique Gardens Fourwinds, will have a lineup of Nitefreak, Ryan Synth, Samuel Cosmic, Asante Mo, DJ Jewz, Slim T.
Creating a strong reputation as one of the leading Afro House music events in Zimbabwe, Hinde leads lineups of DJs and producers who meld organic and digital sound elements without deviating from any of its sonic sources — as Afro House and Afro Tech stem from deep, soulful, and tribal house elements. The artists being featured have created masterful eloquence with their sounds in this regard, giving Hinde a flair of international excellence in all its intents. The event makes it a point to deliver the best in sounds that encompass African-inspired rhythms, polyrhythmic drums, pulsating synths, and organic instruments.
And to experience all this, ticket prices for Hinde Harare are going for $10 (early bird, and oh, they are fast running out) and $20 at the gate, with backstage pass going for $30—the tickets are being sold at Queen of Hearts. No cooler boxes will be allowed at Queen of Hearts. The same ticket prices apply for Hinde Bulawayo, but with the Golden Circle going for $50. Tickets are being sold at Whitchem Pharmacy, Stars 29, Videozy and Twitters Cafe. Cooler boxes will be allowed at Mystique Gardens Fourwinds, but with a corkage fee of $10.
There can be no doubt that Hinde Bulawayo and Harare will take revellers on an exciting music journey, with the country's best and upcoming talent in the African electronic music scene ready to exhibit soft and light, soulful and playful, strong and loud, deep and driving, percussive and polyrhythmic Afro House and Afro Tech excellence.
