TAKUDZWA HILLARY CHIWANZA
When we saw that R.Peels was releasing Moto Part 2 as part of the run-up to his upcoming album, God My Therapist 2, we were a little bit skeptical. We wondered if he could surpass the lyrical mastery of the first instalment of Moto, which was done with the fiery rapper Ti Gonzi. But the new release, Moto Part 2, has effectively put our doubts asunder, and we are of the firm belief that R.Peels' album on the way will be a timely reminder of what good lyricism is.
R.Peels' recent release Moto Part 2 features budding talents Hooksmith and T3rry Tempo, and we absolutely love what they did on this new joint. Almost as if they wanted to catch us by surprise.
By all accounts, Moto Part 2 is a strong statement of intent, and sees R.Peels doing the one thing he is unrivalled at – putting others on. We love how Peels always shines the light on others. It is a commendable aspect of his career. He has an undying passion for good collaborations.
As such, this is the greatest highlight of this release: the collaboration among the artists involved. With the album coming up, one can only expect more collaborations of this nature.
Hooksmith is incredibly unpredictable on the song, bringing various strands of immaculate flows to a song that already sounds like a fierce lyrical contest. T3rry Tempo is also out to prove his mettle, and three the artists create an enviable synergy that gives the song and video the aura of the first Moto.
It is safe to assert that God My Therapist 2 will provide a proper lyrical feast as they year closes. The album is dropping on October 28.
In the meantime, watch the video for Moto Pt 2 by R.Peels, Hooksmith and T3rry Tempo below and share with the world your thoughts:
