TAKUDZWA HILLARY CHIWANZA
Kayflow has released a video for the track Tariro from Nyamadrive EP, a project that was dropped in October. It is a befitting visual exposition to a story of gruelling hardships facing urban youths in Zimbabwe’s low-income neighbourhoods.
The gifted artist does well in painting sombre pictures of the suffering that is prevalent in the country; a suffering that threatens to break the country's youth – and its future – as opportunities for a better life are in scarce supply.
But while everything about the video shows a people mired in endless crying, it also serves as a poignant message for hope, showing that in the midst of searing adversities, hope is the only weapon towards envisioning a better future for all. It is the message of hope that matters more than anything else.

The video comes with good shots that tell the unfiltered stories of poverty in the urban ghettoes, stories that are familiar and universal. And even if you are not acquainted with the grim realities of the ghetto, Kayflow's video for Tariro is a good attempt at making one familiar with these stories.
It is a video that makes a convincing case of how Kayflow's Nyamadrive EP is certainly one of the best projects this year as far as the Zimbabwean music industry is concerned.
It gives much credence to the term Afro Jecha, a descriptor that Kayflow adopted for Nyamadrive EP.
