HARARE – The Zimbabwe School Examinations Council (ZIMSEC) has officially released the 2024 November Ordinary Level (O-Level) examination results. Candidates can now access their results online starting today, January 17, 2025, at 4:00 PM.
In a statement, ZIMSEC Chairperson Professor Paul Mapfumo confirmed that the results are accessible through the ZIMSEC portal on the official ZIMSEC website.
He said that the portal will remain open for five days only, urging candidates and their guardians to check the results promptly.
This year saw a significant increase in the number of candidates sitting for the examinations. A total of 291,341 students wrote the November 2024 O-Level exams, marking a 7.85% rise compared to the 278,129 candidates in 2023.
Improved national pass rate
The national pass rate for November 2024 stands at 33.19%, reflecting a notable improvement from the 29.41% recorded in 2023.
A total of 66,130 candidates passed five or more subjects with a grade C or better, representing a 3.78% increase in overall performance.
How to view your results online
Candidates can follow these simple steps to access their ZIMSEC O-Level results:
1. Visit the ZIMSEC Results Portal:
Go to https://dcmv4.zimsec.co.zw
2. Register if You’re a New User:
- Click on “Register New User.”
- Fill out the Consent by Candidate, Guardian, or Parent form.
3. Log in to View Results:
- Once registered, return to the homepage.
- Enter your username and password.
- Your results will be displayed.
