Nutty O set to drop inspiring new single ‘Normalize’ on February 26

HARARE – Zimbabwe’s celebrated dancehall artist, Carrington Simbarashe Chiwadzwa, popularly known as Nutty O, is set to release a powerful and introspective new single titled Normalize on February 26.  

Renowned for his exceptional storytelling and ability to evoke deep emotions through music, Nutty O continues to solidify his status as one of Zimbabwe’s most gifted artists. His latest single promises to be yet another masterpiece, following the success of Jegera, a song of hope and resilience released in September 2024, where he collaborated with fellow Zimbabwean music giants Freeman HKD and MasterH.  

According to Nutty O’s manager, Diana Nheera, Normalize is a thought-provoking track that encourages listeners to reflect on different aspects of life with every play.  

"Normalize is that song that will get you reflecting on a new thing on every listen. It makes you want to do more in life and to show love more, make impact, change life for you and others because for real, you only live once – live outstandingly," she said.  

The song carries a profound message, urging people to embrace life fully, cherish meaningful relationships, and spread love while they still have the chance.  

Normalize serves as a fitting continuation of Jegera, reinforcing Nutty O’s signature style—thoughtful, vibrant, and deeply introspective. The track is expected to be both danceable and lyrically rich, striking a balance between catchy rhythms and meaningful storytelling.  

Once again, Nutty O collaborates with his trusted production duo—DJ Tamuka, a celebrated producer known for working with international stars such as Jah Cure, Davido, Patoranking, and Yemi Alade, alongside the dynamic Angeo Pablo. Their combined expertise ensures that Normalize will be a high-quality, sonically compelling addition to Nutty O’s growing discography.  

The artist himself shared his inspiration behind the song, emphasizing the importance of making the most of life:  

"We are coming from the season of holding on, with Jegera, and as we go, we have to #NORMALIZE using the time we have in life to live in our best version. Do the most important things. Pasi pano tiri kutandara (we have no permanent residency on Earth); rather, we must normalize loving family, friends, spreading love, making special moments that matter, and more," he said.
