The weekend kicks off on Saturday, April 19th, with "Game Day," an eSports tournament where button bashers from across the country will compete for victory in various games. This competitive segment is designed to push Zimbabwean gamers towards international standards and nurture the next generation of digital athletes in the country.

Sunday, April 20th, shifts gears into "Fun Day." This day offers a more relaxed atmosphere for casual gamers and cosplayers.

Attendees can expect access to consoles, PCs, board games, and card games, alongside food, music and a cosplay competition centered around a "Gaming" theme. Otakukonnect intends for attendees to experience accomplishment and connect with fellow enthusiasts.

"The Button Bash" stems from Otakukonnect's efforts to innovate within the Zimbabwean games industry and create youth-focused entertainment events.

The term "Button Bash" itself playfully refers to the rapid button presses gamers use to outperform opponents. The organizers highlight the significant growth of the global gaming industry, noting its revenue surpasses that of the music and movie industries combined and emphasize Zimbabwe's increasing participation in the international eSports arena, including representation at African and Global Esports championships.

This two-day event at Moto Republik (3 Allan Wilson Ave) invites gamers of all levels to "Party Hard, Game Harder!"
